Orders are normally dispatched the next working day.
From October onwards, when order volumes are at their highest, dispatch can take longer than usual — up to 14 working days for Standard orders. Express orders are prioritised over Standard orders throughout this period, but the volume of orders at this time of year means Express dispatch can also, on occasion, take longer than usual. We appreciate your patience at this time of year.
"Same-day dispatch" means an Express order placed before 11:00am is normally dispatched the same day, and an Express order placed after 11:00am, or a Standard/Free order, is normally dispatched the next working day. Both of these timescales remain subject to the busier-period delays described above.
Once dispatched, Standard shipping normally takes 3–5 working days and Express shipping normally takes 1–3 working days to arrive. These timeframes are set by our courier partners and can occasionally be affected by delays during busier periods. As this stage of the journey is with the courier and outside our control, we're unable to guarantee an exact delivery date.
We remain responsible for the goods until they are delivered to you, or to a person you nominate to receive them. If an order is delayed, please contact us and we will investigate with the courier.
Unless a different period is agreed with you, we will deliver without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is formed. You may cancel immediately if we refuse delivery or miss an agreed essential deadline. Otherwise, you can give us a reasonable additional period to deliver and cancel if we fail to meet it. We will refund payments due without undue delay. See Section 5 of our Terms and Conditions.
To give your order the best chance of arriving before Christmas, please place Standard shipping orders by 18th December, or Express shipping orders by 11:00am on 21st December 2026.
Personalised products are shipped directly from our supplier, on different delivery terms to the rest of our range. Delivery usually takes place within 1–3 working days of your dispatch notification email, though this can vary by item.
If you order several personalised items with different dispatch times, the longest dispatch time applies to the whole order. Personalised items are delivered separately from the rest of your order and aren't eligible for next-working-day delivery.
Where products are offered for pre-order ahead of stock arriving with us, payment is normally taken in full when the order is placed. Estimated arrival dates are based on the latest information available from our suppliers and may change depending on supplier schedules. Once stock arrives, pre-orders will be prioritised for dispatch. Pre-order status does not remove your statutory rights.
A small number of larger or made-to-order products may have longer or non-standard delivery lead times. Where this applies, the estimated lead time will be shown clearly on the product page and at checkout.
If your order has not arrived when expected, contact enquiries@cello.co.uk or 0191 933 1911. Include your order number and delivery details so that we can investigate with the courier. You do not have to pursue the courier yourself.
